  1. What are the reasons for reinstating the propane/gas-services for residents that are behind in paying their HOA fees?

    1. Since this blog and the newsletter BajaMatters are the creation of a small group of volunteers, all we can offer is forwarding your question to the BHOA.
Unofficially, we can tell you that not picking up the trash is a health hazard for all of us, and bringing propane in your car is an unnecessary danger.
The most effective way to get an official response to your question is sending a message directly to the board through the website: https://bajamarhoa.com/Form/28832~123591/Contact-the-Board.
In case it's useful, you may want to know that there's a box for comments and suggestions in the BHOA's office and only the President has access to it. We're sure that if you address your question directly to her, she will get back to you with an answer.

    2. The HOA provide propane/gas services? I thought we each did that on our own, directly paying to the various trucks that come by

    3. Hello neighbor,
You must have misunderstood the previous comment. We all pay for the gas we use directly to the gas company.
Before August, the service, although private, wasn't provided to residents in not good standing.
Even though there are neighbors who don't agree with the decision, for safety reasons, the Board decided to eliminate the restriction.

  2. Could you publish the minutes from the Board of Directors meetings in the future? That way residents like me who cannot attend them are better informed. Thanks,

    1. You may want to know that the official BHOA website has a section where you can find a wealth of information, among others, the Minutes of Board Meetings. To access this information, all you need to do is login in and visit the section: https://bajamarhoa.com/resourcecenter/28832/resource-center.

    2. Thank you for your interest! You may access the minutes by signing in to bajamarhoa.com.(See the office if you don't have a sign in) Go to Resource enter, then Board Meeting Minutes. Note that there is a one month lag because minutes must be approved before posting. For example at the August 18th board meeting, the July minutes will be approved, then posted.
