Bajamar Recycles
by: Deb Smith Did you know that Mision Todos and Mision San Diego recycle? Here’s how to participate: Cardboard, plastic, glass, and cans can be put out with your trash, in a separate bag or box. The container needs to be open so that our maintenance staff can clearly see it is recyclables since they cannot open trash bags. Another option is to place your recyclables only in the blue recycle containers marked ‘recycle’ in the containers area by the pools in both missions. And that’s not all! There is a container in the office for small batteries – AA, AAA and 9volt. If you can separate the caps of the plastic bottles these also can be recycled, please take them to Kassandra in the BHOA´s office where she collects them and takes them to a specific recycling project. Bajamar Recicla
¡Ama a tu planeta,

FYI, this process hasn’t been working. Our bags with regular recyclables (left wide open as instructed) virtually always get put in the truck with the trash - we’ve seen them do it from the house. We even labeled one of our bins with a huge recycling logo and a sign that says “solo reciclaje” and that didn’t help.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for recycling!
DeleteDon't get discouraged by the method of trash / recyclables collection; the staff only does one round per week and that's why you see that they put everything in the same truck.
Before taking the trash to the dumpster, the staff takes the time to separate the bags that can be easily identified as recyclables as they are allowed to open only these bags.
Please continue recycling; regardless of how big or small our efforts are, you can be certain that the overall impact is positive!
Thank you for the clarification!
DeleteOur pleasure neighbor! We sincerely hope that you will continue recycling and trying your best at reducing and reusing.
