External Audit Report As you may remember, in June 2023, the Board
voted to have an extensive external audit performed, which had not been
performed in many years. The Audit Committee interviewed 3 firms
and selected CPA Jose Castillo Cota. This firm reviewed 2022 and the first 9
months of 2023, including a review and analysis of the accounting-tax aspect,
the corporate-legal aspect, and the control-legal aspect. They concluded that the administration
of the Bajamar Homeowners Association is well controlled according to the
generally accepted Accounting, Fiscal and Legal standards, giving us a grade
of A+, which is exceptionally good. To quote: “…we are able to point out
that the homeowners’ association has a high level of acceptance of its

Reporte de Auditoría Externa Como recordarás, en junio de 2023, la Junta votó a
favor de realizar una auditoría externa exhaustiva, que no se había realizado
en muchos años. El Comité de Auditoría entrevistó a 3 firmas y
seleccionó al CPA José Castillo Cota. Esta firma revisó el año 2022 y los
primeros 9 meses de 2023, incluyendo una revisión y análisis del aspecto
contable-tributario, del aspecto corporativo-legal y del aspecto de
control-legal. Concluyeron que la administración de la Asociación de
Propietarios de Bajamar está bien controlada de acuerdo con las normas
Contables, Fiscales y Legales generalmente aceptadas, lo que nos otorga una

It is good to know that Martha has done the job she was hired to do and run the HOA as a tight ship. After previous losses the HOA incurred prior to Martha being hired I think we can all rest assured that Bajamar is still the PREMIER community we have touted ourselves to be. Thank you Martha!

ReplyDeleteWhile we all are thankful to Martha for the diligent job she continues to do managing our BHOA, it would be great that we all, as neighbors of this wonderful community, get involved and participate in the matters that contribute to keep Bajamar simply the best of Baja! Our BHOA is not a one-man-orchestra, it's a Team Work and a Work-in-Progress!
