Introducción
¡Llegamos a noviembre! Dicen que cuando estamos ocupados o pasándola muy bien, el tiempo vuela y parece que no es suficiente. ¿No es cierto?
La mejor parte es que noviembre ya nos hace pensar en fiestas de fin de año, desde la celebración de la Revolución Mexicana el 20 y el Día de Acción de Gracias el 23, noviembre nos acerca a las esperadas Posadas de diciembre y otras festividades y celebraciones propias de la época de fin de año.
Por otro lado, nos guste o no, con noviembre también empiezan a llegar los llamados “vientos de Santa Ana” que se presentan con fuertes ráfagas de viento cálido y muy seco, aumentando el riesgo de incendios forestales y alergias, resfriados y hasta otras condiciones respiratorias más severas.
Determinar la causa de cualquiera de estas condiciones respiratorias es un poco complicado pues muchas de ellas comparten algunos síntomas. Sin ser alarmistas, si usted empieza a sentir que le gotea la nariz, a toser, o a sentirse cansado, es momento de poner en práctica las siguientes medidas:
Evite el contacto con personas que puedan estar enfermas; si es usted quien se siente mal, limite el contacto con otros para no contagiarlos.
Cúbrase la boca y nariz al toser y estornudar, de preferencia con un pañuelo desechable.
Lávese las manos con frecuencia con agua y jabón, frotando las palmas, parte superior, entre los dedos y debajo de las uñas. Si no tiene agua y jabón a mano, utilice algún desinfectante a base de alcohol.
Evite tocarse los ojos, nariz y boca. Así es precisamente como se esparcen los gérmenes.
